Our process uses a citrus-based solution applied with a low-moisture sprayer, then the surfaces are worked using a floor buffer and/or a counter-rotating brush machine. This agitation provides the work necessary to work the solution deep into the carpet fibers, breaking down dirt, oils, and stains at the source — without saturating the backing or subfloor beneath.

Step-by-Step: What Happens During Your Appointment

Step 1: Pre-Inspection

We walk the area with you before we start. We note stains, high-traffic zones, and areas of concern so we can address them specifically — and so you know exactly what to expect from the results.

Step 2: Pre-Treatment

High-traffic areas and stained spots are pre-treated with our citrus solution. This starts breaking down embedded soil and stains before the machine ever touches the carpet.

Step 3: Buffer / Counter-Rotating Brush Cleaning

The buffer machine uses pad rotation to work the citrus solution into the carpet pile from multiple directions simultaneously. This lifts dirt up and out rather than pushing it deeper — the same way you'd scrub a stain by hand, but at machine scale across the entire room.

Step 4: Soil Extraction

Loosened soil and spent cleaning solution are absorbed into our cleaning pads as the machine passes. No soaking, no steam, no risk of wet subfloor or mold underneath.

Step 5: Spot Treatment (If Needed)

Stubborn spots — pet stains, wine, grease — are mostly removed with our cleaning since our proprietary citrus cleaning fluid is also a powerful spot remover! We don't just clean around the problem areas.

Step 6: Final Grooming

Carpet fibers are groomed and vacuumed in a uniform direction for a clean, finished appearance and to help the pile dry evenly. Most carpets are ready for foot traffic within 3–4 hours.
